Leveraging research findings from national key R&D projects by the Ministry of Science and Technology and key technological breakthroughs in Shenzhen, Surgsci has successfully developed titanium alloy staple materials independently. The unique process creates an ultra-hydrophilic surface on the staples, which reduces bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation, significantly enhancing the rapid bonding of tissue to the staples. This ultra-hydrophilic surface quickly absorbs bodily fluids, promoting cell adhesion and expansion while inhibiting excessive activation of inflammatory factors, effectively reducing postoperative tissue inflammation and anastomotic site infection rates.
Nano-Scale Ultrafinement: Making Staples Stronger and More Reliable
Additionally, using exclusive ultrafinement technology, the titanium alloy’s grain size is refined to the nano-scale, significantly improving the strength and toughness of the staples. This not only enhances the staples’ ability to withstand mechanical stress during surgery but also effectively improves the seal of the anastomotic site, reducing the risk of tissue rupture due to staple deformation or breakage, thereby further decreasing postoperative bleeding risks.
