From October 11th to 13th, 2024, the Annual Meeting of the Medical Metal Materials Branch of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials took place in Weihai, Shandong. This event attracted over 300 experts and industry professionals from China’s biomaterials sector. The conference focused on key scientific and engineering issues in medical metal materials research, fostering deep discussions on cutting-edge academic findings, advanced preparation techniques, platform development, and collaborative innovation between industry, academia, research, and clinical practice. This gathering significantly advanced the development, commercialization, and clinical application of medical metal materials in China.
During the event, Dr. Wang, Deputy Director of the Surgical Materials Product Line R&D at Surgsci Medical Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “Industrial Development of Domestic Ultrasonic Scalpel and Its Key Materials”. Dr. Wang highlighted Surgsci’s research achievements and industrial applications, particularly in titanium alloy materials. These materials, known for their exceptional performance, have been successfully integrated into several domestic ultrasonic scalpel products, receiving positive clinical feedback. Dr. Wang also engaged in in-depth discussions with industry professionals on strategies for the development of domestic ultrasonic scalpels, emphasizing the importance of collaborative innovation across sectors. Their innovative outcomes garnered widespread attention, further solidifying Surgsci’s influence in the industry and laying the foundation for future collaborations.
